"Dr. Sabeena M. joined the Department of Physics at Cochin University of Science and Technology in June 2017, after receiving her Ph.D. from Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai, India. During her Ph.D., she worked in the Physical Metallurgy Group at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam. Her Ph.D. thesis focused on phase transformations in Ti-Mo alloys. She holds an M.Sc. degree in Physics from the School of Pure and Applied Physics (SPAP), MG University, Kottayam. Dr. Sabeena’s research interests include diffusional and non-diffusional phase transformations in Ti-based alloys. She is also interested in luminescence studies in rare earth-doped silicate and phosphate materials."
